Dumb question (blonde question):
(Haven't gotten either plant yet)

I know that with Java Moss, you attach it to driftwood, or a rock right?!..I think Moss can float in the tank also?!?...is it concidered a "root fed" plant? (I say no, but I want to make sure).

What about Java Fern? Until I get my 120g both plants will be in my 10g fry tank (currently empty of fry...1 male betta...clean bottom...1 sponge filter...1 corner filter w/carbon media...1 themomater (spell ck won't load on work computer..sorry)...no heater (heater broke..list of gotta get stuff)...I have a 6g eclispe tank with regular walmart gravel in it that I can "root" the fern if need be...has heater.

Java Moss can be tossed into the tank and it will sink to the bottom. To keep it down you can tie it to a rock or wood or you can put a bit of gravel on top of it!

Java Fern should not havce its rhizome burried. It to needs to be attached to wood or a rock or you can let it float and it will attach to the gravel!

I WILL...I am not good a decor, so it may take months to get it the way I want...I think I will go with non-aggressive fish (neons and such), and go with black gravel/background, and maybe a "mangrove" look (I think that is what I have in my head! LOL). If anyone has something close to my idea, if you could post pictures to give me ideas that would be great!
