Hi,
i have just tied 6 java ferns on to a log about a week ago with cotton. Can you tie them on to the log to tighltly, im concerened that there on the log to tight and will die. Im only running 1.2 wpg of light and are getting co2 soon. Cheers Axl

I guess the definition of "too tight" to you would depend if it's ok or not. As long as it's not cutting into the rhizome, it should be fine.

JAVA Fern Planting

i have planted Java ferns in gravel and it works , but to do this you need to put them in the gravel and let them take hold of the smaller gravel once they form a ball of root and gravel you can pull them up to the top of the gravel and in doing this they didnt rot. i did tie some to wood and rock and found they grew fastest on wood.
