I heard that java ferns produce baby plants when they are not happy, trying to reproduce before they die. Is this true?
Mine has produced heaps of baby plants, does this mean its on its way out or can I do something to make it happy. It is on a peice of driftwood. I use flourish excel, and a liquid aquarium fert every now and again. pH 6.8, kH 3, nitrates 0 -10, T5 twin light, 3.5 ft tank, gravel substrate, small tetras only at moment.
Other plants growing well, crypts, hygrophilia narrow leaf and java moss (going mad).

Jason Looks a bit like your bottom pic with plantlets on three of the leaves. Is attached firmly to driftwood though which is good.
Is green yes!
Maybe some people just say this cause theirs dont reproduce. Jealous :icon_wink

Shall stop worrying I was somehow killing it
