Hello everyone, I have quite a simple question this time around (couldn't find this anywhere but I saw some people did it). Is it true that immediately after planting HC (dry start), if you trim it, it will fill in faster? If so, how should go about trimming such a small plant mass?

To be honest I would just let it grow out. Just make sure you split the HC in suuuuper small planting plugs (even individual stems), cus then you can get coverage pretty quick.

Yea, I just had 15 pots from a friend of mine who grows HC emersed, and I divided them into approximately 3/4 square inch plugs because I had so much. I expect it will take about 3 - 3 1/2 weeks to fill in assuming no fungus grows, but was curious if it would be shorted by a few days with a nicer carpet if I trimmed them to induce runners.

Hahaha sort of much over muchness to be honest. By the way air it for a while everyday to avoid fungus.
