Awesome! I'll be doing this as a base, and capping with sand. Any advice on how to do this? It's a fifteen gallon.
My plan is to lay it out dry, and add water til it's very moist, but not soupy. I then plan to add the hard scape, then the sand.
I'm wondering about it leaching ammonia, does this mix do that? Cause, I can do this all in one day, if its not Going to. My problem is that the sand I'm using to cap is the ten gallon, which I'm upgrading to the fifteen I'm setting up! So is the hardscape.
So, I'd need to take the fish out of the tank, the hardscape, then scoop out all the sand, put the plants back and then the fish? And hav it be a bare bottom for a week or two while the mix stops leaching?
I hope it doesn't take that long!

no hard scape over the dirt. use a sand bed under that if needed as a filler.
do a profile search on my threads because all my setup info is in the first couple pages (always) and I'm heading out the door.

Posted several times lately on starts and tank swaps. hope you find what you need.
