I wanted to hook up an LED light to an Arduino and control it's color/intensity programatically. Is there a light that I would be able to do this with that is in the "high" lighting range? 30" long is a huge plus.

You could make your own if you wanted to use an Arduino. But the Finnex planted+ 24/7 is pretty programmable and is 30" long. I'd take a look, otherwise it's diy.

Heh, I own it. I just want to be able to "personalize" it a little more.

DIY seems like the only option but I don't want to have to research all the LED types. ugh.

Try the Zetlight Lancia Series. That's the light that I have. You can customize personalize all the LEDs. It has like lightning, cloudy, and other cycles.
