I have a 40 gallon tank and I have a heater 150 watts, I will be dosing liquid ferts and liquid co2. The ferts are flourish comprehensive supplement by sea chem and c02 booster by api. Substrate is eco-complete with floraspore root enhancing symbionts. The lighting is the Aqueon T5 dual light fixture 36" with two 6700k bulbs. This all for a 40 gallon breeder 36" by 18" and a height of 16". Substrate is also about 2.5 inches deep. I want to try dwarf hair grass would this work?

If the wattage of the bulbs is the normal amount for 36 inch bulbs - 39 watts each - then you will definitely be able to grow hairgrass. It's actually one of the easier carpeting plants to grow, since I myself am growing it in 2 wpg
WPG means nothing, just an FYI, because its more about PAR

but with the light you have, you totally got the ability to grow hairgrass

And yet we ran planted tanks for years using wpg.
