I have noticed something with all of my java moss. It tends to smell swampy and has a tendency towards BG algae (cyanobacteria). Is this normal? If not, what can I do about it? It happens on both my tank with and without CO2.

Thanks. It's what I expected. I just pulled all of the java moss from my 75g, filled a 5g bucket about 1/4 full of moss, and started rinsing it out. I'll do a few more dumps and changes, then let it sit overnight with some glutaraldehyde in the water before replanting maybe half of the moss. I didn't realize that it had grown that much.
