I've read all over the place that copper is bad for shrimp. this says it contains copper. Now it's the second to last ingredient. It's copper sulfate. Is this ok for Shrimp or what's a better reconmmendation.
I'm not sure about copper being in the cuisine. I fed it to my shrimp for a long time and had no problems. They can take the small trace amounts of copper so dont worry about that. There are small amounts of copper in the plant substrates that we use.
The amount of copper is so minute that it is not an issue. Especially since I'm sure it will not be the only thing you feed so they are getting even less of it.
shrimp actually need this minute amount of copper in there food, it has something to do with there blood if i recall. most mass produced shrimp foods on the market i have come across has small amounts of copper in it.
Crustations have a copper based circulatory system, and they do need trace amounts of copper necessary for generation of blood cells. It's safe, just don't over feed, as with any food.
Ok sounds good. I figured it couldn't be bad since it's for shrimp. But I figured I'd see. Yeah the said bout the copper is good for the blood just wanted to make sure. Thanks
