Intensely colored shrimp&eggs

Hey I was just wondering How I would be able to see eggs through my Fire red's belly being that the shrimps are so dark, and intensely colored. One of mine had little babies recently and I noticed that she was berried by luck one day. so how do you guys tell?

look under. also berried females are wider. they look fat

Yep females have a dip in their shell along the sides that helps to protect eggs. The makes are more stream lined with pretty much a straight shell by the pleopods. Also it is impossible to not be able to see the eggs in the pleopods when the move them about fanning them. No problem, just watch and you'll see.
