Hey all,

I have two xp3's, formally Rena, a DIY diffuser on the outlet of one filter and an inline heater on the outflow of the other. Now both of the filters are leaking when in use and I never had this problem before. What is going wrong?

I have same filters there great
Try to lube the o ring around the lid see if that helps any if not
You may be causing to much back pressure in which case I am not really sure how you could solve that issue

I would lube things first. The little mag drive pumps in filters are really not up to forcing things to leak very much so I suspect it may just be a case of bad timing just to confuse things?

You never said were there leaking at but if it is the main gasket. I pull the gasket off and clean the track it fit in with screwdriver and rag. I have also had issues with a prefilter getting full and have the canister pull air in to the unit. Also when seating the motor housing to the unit push down as hard as you can to make sure it seat in the gasket. I also buy a repair kit and have it on hand just for these issues. Very cheap insurance.
