[Chakaga]

I just bought three new pictus catfish from local fish store and I noticed, after I introduced them to my tank, that one of the catfish has had his barbels damaged somehow. He is missing the long ones almost completely, where they should be about 3 inches or so they are less than 1. He swims around the tank really slowly and is being picked on by the others. So I was wondering if the barbels will regrow and if so how long will it take?
