Hi,

Went shopping with the family yesterday and found a pretty good deal for a fixture/bulb combination for a small planted tank. Here is the link for the fixture.

The setup comes with a 6500k bulb and is visually pretty bright. I'm also fairly certain the ballast will drive the the 27w bulb used in the ADA Mini Solar fixture so this has good DIY potential for longer tanks as well.

Here is the replacement 27w bulb this setup uses. Standard 4 pin Japanese style connector. My 27w bulbs from Hitachi work fine with this ballast also.

cool, if you don't have a BJ's nearby they are also available at Home Depot. I have used them on my nano's and they seem to be adequete light for a 'medium' setup.
