I thought it was BBA, but of course, it's not black.

Well, it doesn't look like it is branching, so it's not staghorn algae or blanket weed (cladophora).

Obviously, it's a filament/hair/strand algae of some sort.

It's pretty though! :tongue:

can't you just rip it out? It looks like you can get the whole thing out in one patch

I probably could, it's like... two clumps of it on my wood.

Looks a bit odd but my best guess is clado.

Hey, I got one of this on my wood as well, it grows slow and doesn't seem to affect other plants around it.
