Hello!!
My partner and I made this custom enclosure using an ikea detolf display case and I wanted to share it with you all! It’s about 4 months old now and it seems to be doing really well! I just added a misting system about a month ago. It houses my crested gecko, Dijon.

Nice!! I've seen a few of these conversions now, yours looks particularly well done!

I've had my gargolye gecko for a little under a year, when I can find him, he's super awesome :p Yours looks very happy in there!

I transplanted some pennywort into the vivarium from one of my aquariums a few months ago and it almost immediately died off. It recently decided it wanted to come back! Probably my favorite plant in the tank right now.

I’ve really been wanting to add some extra inhabitants in the tank lately. Are there any insects or other small critters that I can add to the tank just to add to the diversity? I have springtails and isopods but I’d love to have some snails, beetles, worms… anything that would be harmless to my crested gecko and the plants. Any suggestions?

I have some hitchhiker snails with my gargoyle gecko. I see them at the food bowl on occasion. I am unsure if my guy eats them or not. They are so small I almost never see them unless they are at the food bowl. Any other small insect would definitely end up dinner though.

My little crested gecko is a rescue, I got him from the local humane society. He was a classroom pet for like 3 years I guess and he was never fed worms or insects. I tried pretty consistently for about a year to get him to eat some live food but he just doesn’t understand. I can put a nice fat worm right in front of him and he has no interest at all. Because of this I don’t know if he will actually eat anything I put in there. Obviously I don’t want to risk it with an insect that’s toxic or anything like that just in case.
