Ideas/Help With Stocking Please

Right now I have 18 Harlequin Rasboras, 12 Roseline Sharks (Denison Barbs) and 2 mystery snails. I will be getting 18 to 28 more Rasboras within the next week.

So my question is, what are some options for other inhabitants? And how many? Don't want the tank with that "too full" look, but "wow".

I would get about 6 Odessa barbs because I like the look of a larger tank with a little bit larger fish and they color up really nice with age. Also another great addition I think to every tank is cory's gettin a big school of them going looks awesome.
I still vote for Rainbows and/or Congo tetras. About 2 dozen total.
I'd go congo too. They are beautiful. If you like rainbows, try looking into threadfin, they are just as nice and very peaceful.

How are the 18 Harlequins? Do they school much? I'm going to bump my harlequins up to 20 in a 55 gallon. It'll be my only large school of fish.

They do and don't. Has not been 24 hrs yet, but at some points they scatter, and others they are a nice school. I will post updates. Other tank mates may help this too.

What are some bottom dwellers and or some odds that might work? Thinking maybe small cory cats, but not sure. Would like to have some color down there. Like clown loaches, but they do end up getting quite large (in time).

Plecos are also on the mind, but need to keep under 6" if possible. I have had gold nugget and peppermint. Both were beautiful, except you never see them.

Ottos?

What type of fish are these.

Update: The rasboras have been schooling pretty well. Sometimes have split into 2 small schools until they meet up in the tank again. I have been very impressed by the roselines schooling. Awesome! Unfortunately have not had a chance for any more additions yet. C'mon weekend!
Hi! Nice to see some one from the close to bay area!
I had good luck with Celebes (sp?) rainbows... Not too much color on the body but they have gorgeous yellow tails.

Where do you go to get all your fish and supplies?
I like the Neon Orange or Neon Green Cories. These are not dyed, but a natural band of color. I have seen them at Ocean Aquarium in San Francisco. There are several species of spotted Corys- C. julii, C. trilineatus and others. A cory of a different color: C. adolfoi

Other bottom dwellers: Small to medium size Loaches. Y. sidthimunki are great little fish, and slightly larger Loaches such as B. striata are good. I would avoid anything like Yoyos or similar Loaches, they are too big, and may eat the smaller fish.

Roseline Barbs will get big enough to eat smaller fish, so I would skip Threadfin Rainbows. I have a Pearl Gourami, and Melanotaenia trifaciata 'Wonga Creek' with my Roselines.
A larger school of Rasboras sounds like a good idea. Then if a few do not want to be part of the school, there is still a good sized group to watch.

Thx everyone so far for the ideas. Now for decision making time.

I normally go up to Sac to Exotic Aquarium. Dublin has Aquarium Concepts, but usually their prices are a little high, but they will order what you want. Just ask Yvette and be sure to get a price beforehand. Modesto has Tropical Haven, and they have a lot of smaller species, and fair prices. They sell the Fluval FX5 for $199 :icon_smil
