After increasing lighting in my "mid-tech" tank (medium light + Excel) I was left without green stem plants as a result. I've Rotala rotundifolia (regular and colorata - which now both look exactly the same), Rotala rotundifolia "Blood Red" and Hygrophila polysperma "Sunset". I want some green background for them, so that their colors contrast with something that is just green. And this something green shouldn't be 10 inches wide - I just don't want to waste half of the tank's width for this background. Any ideas apart from Rotala rotundifolia "Green"? Should grow well in soft water and preferably be of asian origin (trying to stick to SE Asia theme for the tank).

I think a visual would help. You may want something with a different leaf type as what you have now is very narrow and on the smaller size so some vibrancy and size difference will add complexity to the scape. Attach some pictures if you can
