What ppm for nitrates should I maintain my planted tank alongside bamboo shrimp?

If you are just keeping bamboo shrimp, keep nitrates around zero.

If this is for a planted tank, you should be able to go up to 15-20 ppm without problems. They might survive higher levels, but it will not be ideal, and not really necessary for thriving plants either.
