thats ludwigia inclinata var. twister/tornado (same plant, different name)

its not that popular, but I like it! I'm trying to (sorta) scape with it lol

its just unusual because of how unnatural looking it is, but I feel that adds a certain appeal
Bet same as scaping with var Cuba. If they they were just 1/2 smaller.

Yea,they are really cool. Takes a bit to get settled in after trimming. Looks good in a bunch. Not sure why people don't like it.

It's L. inclinata var. verticillata from Cuba. This plant is a cultivar selected from that. So, it's better to use cv. Var. is used for botanically recognized and published names.

I'm always bad at that.

So would this technically then be ludwigia inclination var. verticillata cv. Twisted? Or is it "more right" to just leave out the cv. Twisted part.

Idk if this is the standard for verticillata or if it's not and the cultivare would be needed for clarity.
I think L. inclinata var. verticillata cv. 'Twisted' would probably be good, and less of a mouthfull. :).
