IME they will leave adult shrimp alone but any babies that they can find will be goners. I've tried to keep scarlet badis with shrimp on 2 occasions and both times this has happened. If your shrimp population is large enough then some babies will survive...

That aquabid one looks decent, but a bit pricey on shipping and whats up with the bucket deposit - -

oh snap, dario dario are cute.. They're technically are not 'cichlid' but look & behave a lot like one. And they're from asia, i believe.

They are pretty hard to find though.
