I'd wait at least a week. Two weeks just to be safe. I usually treat for two weeks and the ick is gone. I'm not sure when the spots are gone, though. I just go for a full 2 weeks and call it good.

ich can live for 6-8 weeks without a host. just because the spots are gone doesn't mean the parasite is. one of the best treatments ive found is pristine water quality and good high quality food. meds don't always work and most other treatments cause undue stress on the fish, which can bring on another outbreak of ich.
