I sterilizer glass cleaning

i have a turbtwist UV sterilizer which works just fine, however, the glass tube casing that the bulb sits in has become stained brown with fish/tank waste. I am sure this staining is reducing the affect of the UV light.

Any ideas on how this staining can be removed from the glass container?

Take it out and wash it with hot water and washcloth...

Hmm. .. it's like the stain is fused into the glass. Not sure if there is a chemical that could be used to remove it?

Try bleach or viniger

Tried bleach before. Will try vinegar next cheers
