Wow! Thank you so much, I thought it looked like some type of bamboo!
A ton of guppies, mystery snails, japanese trapdoor snails, ghost shrimp, & tons of plants in a 10G.

Because they will tell you what you want to hear, and that it is a fully aquatic plant. That is, if they even know at all.....

now that I look at it, it looks like anubius for sure. I kept it for a while.

Dracaena- I've grown it as a terrestrial plant and would recognize that plant anywhere. Will not grow long term completely submerged- if you can find a way to keep the leaves out of water it's a really good nutrient absorber.

Worst part? Even if you remove it and plant it as a houseplant? The prolonged dunking might have set in a fatal future..so you lose both ways. Same for a few other house plants sold as aquarium plants,by the time the starter grower/keeper finds out what it really is...it's a goner.
