8W is too high and may burn.
You need 4W or lower.
That why I bought 2....... ;)

Oh and they do have 2w and 4w coils available.. at reduced MOPD I assume.. The ones I almost bought were 85psi.. approx.. so I had some headroom.. Preicing or finding them would be another issue though.

WOW I do appreciate the offer..

Well Bettatail back to SMC's ... After I finally had the Burkert "nomenclature" down I have to learn SMC "speek"..........

Again, for those that would say "Clippard".. I'm still trying to get it without fighting more "fittings".. still shooting for 1/4npt...

Page 3 has the ones you want to look for. The VDW21.
VDW21's seem hard to find in 1/4npt..
VDW31's will work as long as I don't go to orifice "4".... (3=.4mPa= 58psi)
so far best "retail" source..

Unfortunately I am leaving on a fossil hunting trip and wont be able to do it this weekend,
apparently most of our "bones" are from UT........ ;)
A long time ago I got a bunch of ferns from the Carbondale area of IL.

Those guys did you a favour, that 8w power rating must heat up a lot if people consider the 4w version to be hot.

What about a STC or SMC?
SMC is a possibility.. I'm still looking at options.. Who is STC??

STC is sort of like the cheaper version of SMC. I think you might find some solenoids such as the SMC to be the most difficult to find online.

What about the other Burket rated at 2w? Aaron got a 2w Parker solenoid that he likes. I myself never had anything beside the SMC. I can vouch that the SMC gets a bit toasty. The product specialist swears up and down it's normal but I added a fan to the back of mine.

Have you tried asking some people on this board if they have any spare. There should be a person with a lot of them. Maybe his stock low, but it's worth a try.

I don't sell any Co2 stuff so I have no idea what the going rate is. I know the retail SMC is around 70 - 100.
