This is becoming a problem and im not sure what it is to understand how to combat it, but my tank looks horrid.

I have what I think is low light, its 2 40watt LED flood lights from Amazon, I run 10 hours. I pump Co2, I use tap water, 80 gallons, no ferts yet, temp is roughly 80 degrees.

I water change 40% each week.

Tank inhabitants
2 Electric Blue Rams
1 German Blue Ram
15 Rummynose tetra
1 pleco
2 Amano Shimp
2 Otto's

I also struggle with BBA, but its mainly on the wood, this brown crap on my plants is most noticeable.

How long has the tank been running? How did you stock the tank? Meaning did you recently add a lot of bio waste? Is the brown stuff slimy? If it is I think that diatoms which can occurs during a cycle which may happen on an established tank if you add too many fish too fast.

Bba is from inconsistent co2 levels
