This new phenomenon, in my tanks, anyway, has been occurring in recent days: a sort of scum that it growing from areas where equipment meets the water, and interestingly enough, around the skimmers that are installed to prevent it.
Im sure that overall it’s harmless, but was just looking for insight to the cause, and if it’s something I could prevent.
(Typical dosing/maintenance regimen; EI, weekly 50%, etc. Plants and livestock all flourishing. Algae fairly minimal, barring a few inconspicuous areas with hair algae. And pay no mind to the dirty pipes - they’re scheduled for thorough cleaning tomorrow
