Anyone have any advice to make my scape better? It was looking good but now I just don’t like it anymore. How do I make a practical and enjoyable aquascape?

Don't be afraid to completely redo it. I redo an aquascape every few months. Watch videos on youtube and pay attention to how people make scapes you like. Just have realistic expectations. So if you are low tech don't expect high tech results.
