Has anyone used Peroxide, not as spot treatment, but by adding a particular dosage to the water column to remove algae.

First of all, I'm perfectly aware that this does not solve the source of the problem so please keep your comments to yourself. I am simply asking if anyone has had success using Hydrogen Peroxide to the water column the same way that excel or Glut can be.

Thanks in advanced.

LOL...my problem was I had hair algae
It's a plant like all the others, and I obviously planted it in my tank...

...funny thing is, it's never come back

But if it does, I'm no longer worried about it...
...I'm going to zap it with DarkCobra's one/two punch and go on about my business

I guess tomorrow I will try about 1.5 cups of h2o2 for my 75 gallon after I remove some of the weaker plants.

I used 5 tbs in 20 gal = 15 tbs 60 gal (75gal tank)
Used a power head to really circulate the water
waited 20 mins
Did a close to 100% water change
Added Excel like it's the first dose of Excel

waited 4 days...
repeated same exact thing

5th day...all algae gone...plants, fish, snails fine
