I hear this plant can not be sold cross the state lines so how come this shop

It is on the noxious weed list in the U.S. but can still be sold.


Edit: This plant can be propagated in Florida for sale outside of Florida but this plant cannot be sold in Florida (but it is already readily established in the state and can be easily found in the wild)... As far as I know this plant can be sold /bought/traded in all other states despite its listing as a federal noxious weed.

Current classification last time I checked was class II on the Fed. list.
Class II allows State to State choice on import limitation not an outright ban.
Propagation in FL requires facility controls to eliminate uncontrolled transfer. Meaning fully enclosed buildings or netted ponds that don't allow birds, other animal or uncontrolled access with the grow site. Ag licensing and inspections allow the State to receive a pretty good revenue stream off the industry.

You can find plenty in Florida, Texas, Virginia, & now Maryland if my ID works out to be good. It grows over 6 feet long in the warm Florida waters.
