I have been wanting to do this for quite a while now. I wanted my own source for plants a few steps beyond the small seedling trays with the humidity domes so I finally bit the bullet and did an ebb and flow hydroponics system. It's in the testing phases right now and doing good. I'm using hydroponics nutrients and the plants seem to be happy. The glass is from a sliding door set that keeps the humidity up when needed. I have 2 heaters for the 4X6 tray, and 1 for the nutrient tank. Lights are philips daylight deluxe t12's. Once all the pots of HC and Staur. Repens are grow out ill probably sell them so I can upgrade the lighting and really have some fun.

How are you doing your ebb and flow? Timer? Bell siphon?

I use a timer that turns a pump on 3 times a day. Other equipment I have in the nutrient tank is an air stone and a heater like I mentioned before.

What made you come to that decision instead of a Bell siphon?

The Botanicare tray was already set up for a drain and refill kit, and I don't have to worry about anything getting clogged.
