Well after getting rid of them for a few weeks they are back. I have heard they dont really pose any problems though? I am unsure were they came from or why they seem to be thriving. Atleast I think they are hydra... here are some photos I took today (they are very tiny, like 1/4" max):





Nothing out of norm parameter wise, except some bad algea that I havent figured out what it even is yet.

yep, hydra. if you are not trying to breed fish or shrimp they are more of an unsightly nuisance than a threat. they are fish food mostly. they come and go depending on the availability of small foods like copepods etc. got some in a planted tank with no fish yet and they are so thick on some rocks that they look like hair algae from a distance. figure what ever fish i add will just eat them anyway.
