Specs:

20H tank
planted
either AC50 or maybe HOT magnum filter

2x german blue rams
6x rummy nose tetras
6x cories (pygmy perhaps)

Is this scheme good or how would you change it?

I'd rather add more rummies. 10-15 is a good number. And so will I do with cories. Overall, your tank stocking is great.

So you think 10-15 rummies and 10-15 cories and skip the rams?

Is there really enough "left to right" space for rummies in a 20H? I have R. espi in my 38 cube, and the aquarium is too small for them.

Seems to me that their back and forth schooling habit is going to be limited by the aquarium size. I don't think I'd do Rummies in anything less than 4' left to right.

Hey I'm not really sure what the requirements of them are, but I have a 72 gallon bowfront with 18 rummies, and I love to watch them go back and forth and they love swiming back and forth :icon_wink They are really pretty fish.

I have some in a 72 bowfront as well and they school nicely. How about:

10x rummies
10x cories
2x rams (either a pair or two females)

Would I be benefited all that much by going with a 20L rather than a 20H?
