Have 4 amazon swords in standard gravel from petsmart. No nutrients. Added seachem flourish tabs every 6 inches of space. Especially near the swords. Anubias is growing great, added the swords recently so not sure. I'm running a planted plus 8 hours a day. Would this be adequate for Amazon Swords!?

Yes, they will do fine in low tech, low light, inert substrate as long as you keep root tabs for them.

My swords are in a low tech set up with a finnex fugeray 24in above the substrate, and are growing well.

I do have dirt capped with sand as substrate, so not the exact same setup.

However, I think they would manage ok, they may not "thrive" but should at least grow.

I have swords in contro soil (high CEC) with Sera root tabs in my no CO2 injected tank, no liquid carbon. I dose liquid ferts. they do fine, growth is slow. the leaves get to 8 inches. I think your seachem tabs should do your swords a lot of good.

a cheaper alternative is supposed to be osmocote plus. i dont have experience with them or seachem tabs but i've heard good results from people.

Whats your tank size ?? And whats the height of the substrate. Swords are rooting plants so they would love at least an inch of substrate.
