You mean when they are ready to mate :icon_ques

It depends on the kind of shrimp, water conditions/parameters, etc.
Molting helps them to grow and mature but do not induce forced molting.

Usually cherries mature around 4-6 months female is larger with strong color and rounded belly compared to a male. A saddle appears on the back of a female shrimp and the minute she releases a signal (strong smell) males start a dance ritual u can find several swimming like crazy till they find the right female who released the mating signal (smell) they mate.
You can see mating has taken place coz within 24-48 hours the eggs move to the swimerettes and the female keeps on fanning and within 3-4 weeks the shrimplets are born.
With crystals and tigers the maturation and gestation takes a bit long 6-7 months to mature and 4-6 weeks of gestation. Also the babies grow slower and the survival rate is lower compared to cherries or other neo cardina species.

I got fire reds, yellow, and blue pearls all in one tank.
