I bought a Milwaukee TDS meter... it reads 71 in tap water, and 3 in the RO... can something explain what this means to me? The instructions say to multiply by a factor of 10. Thanks!

I just recently bought an HM TDS meter and it says to only multiply by x10 for TDS ranges above 999. The meter shows a little symbol I think if thats the case.

I realize you have different type of meter if you look at the results 3 TDS ppm is close to correct, I would think. on the other hand, at least for my area, 71 seems a little low for tap water.
