So I was wondering how you guys would prevent plants from growing from planted substrate onto sand if you had both in a tank, like a beach look here in this video. I assume constant maintenance and trimmings are done but is there another way.
I hear using a rock barrier of some sort would work but it just wouldnt look as natural to me, with a line of rocks. does anyone have any ideas?
btw i have tried using under substrate barriers but they dont look too good as if theyre completely buried, the plant can grow over, and if not, obviously you see the barrier. (although it may work if the plant substrate is lower than the barrier and sand, having the sand all the way up to the top of the barrier and the plants growing so their height is just above it as well. hmm)
