How to prevent dwarf hairgrass from sending out runners??

610 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Bill Brasky
Dwarf hairgrass is taking over my tank. I've looked in my ADA book and he uses something called "bended cardboard"? I don't know if I want to put cardboard in the aquarium since it will get wet and nasty.

What can I get that is cheap and local that I can put in the Aquasoil to prevent runners from getting where they are not supposed to?

Maybe some thin plastic strips? I bet you could cut up 2 liter bottles into small 4" strips and push them into the substrate.

I had some strips of plastic transparency sheets pushed into some tahitian moon sand a few years ago to keep plants from spreading.
You could always sell what you don't want! :icon_twis:icon_twis:icon_twis
