when my drop checker turns lime green color, how can i maintain that color without it turning yellow? so far what i'v done is reducing the bubbles but is there a better way of doing this? for when i'm not home for example?
first of all, put your drop checker aside. it shows what pH WAS 2-3 hours prior. get a pH pen/monitor. shoot for ~1pt. drop by the time your lights turn on. tuned correctly, pH will drop to the level you want and pretty much stay there throughout the photoperiod. to achieve this, increase surface agitation and turn up co2 a touch. check out dennis wong's excellent site here
