I just got a graphics tablet, and I was trying to break it in by drawing some concept art for my tanks. Problem is, I don't really know how to draw the plants. Any tips?

Sorry if I put this in the wrong subforum. It didn't seem to fit anywhere else.

dwarf hair grass should be pretty easy..... LOL

if you drawing just to get an idea for planting just use the basic shapes for the silhouette. no need to go into super detail just for a concept drawing. a lot of plats like glosso are so low and vauge from a distance other than as a green mat just a scribble to indicate planting will work. if it is just a concept basic lines and blocks spheres and such will work.like an inverted triangle will work for an amazon sword or crypt because of the shape of the plant.

hope this helps.

I'm suprized that more people don't have suggestions for you. but I will point out that I draw tattoo flash a lot and people generally come with an area they want the tattoo and an idea of what they want then I lay out some possible shapes and general outlines, very basic to get the concept, its usually a good way to start out.
