Does anyone have any experience with excel spot treatment? I think I have some clado on my glass and on some plants. Im afraid that the excel will kill plants.

Clado doesn't grow on glass or on plants as far as I know. It's probably another type of algae.

Turn off your filters, pumps, etc...load up 2x the recommended dosage of Excel into a syringe. Stick your hand in, and squirt it directly onto the affected areas. It'll be OK if you squirt it on the glass, but if you do it to more sensitive plants, you might kill them.

ie: Vals, anacharis, fissidens...and some other stuff I'm forgetting.

What kind of plants? I use a small oral syringe for baby medicine from any common drug store. I just take the normal dosage for the size of tank and squirt it directly on affected area. You might want to check water circulation though, once I added/changed water flow I dont have as bad of an algae problem.
