im moving up town where the water is softer than where im at currently and the PH drops slowly.
and im wondering if i put dolomite into my canister would it help me???

i dont know the parmaters yet, but i met some one in the same area that would breed angel fish w/out RO
and she told me the tap was at 7.5 and at w/c day it was at 6.5.
the PH drop was so slow that her fish would not get stressed.

im afraid w/ co2 -i would have a bigger issue.

anyone else here have similar water

Find out what the KH first.

Dolomite could work and so would crush coral, shell, and lime stone.

It dropped on water change day to 6.5 temporarily, likely because the levels of CO2 are higher after dumping a bunch of water into the tank and supersaturating the whole thing with air. From there it returned to 7.5. Odds are you've got a KH range somewhere in the 2-6 area of things, which is just fine for angel fish. Adding CO2 will not effect the KH, which is what stress levels tend to be more about in a planted aquarium. You may even find that you want to drop the KH a little if it's sitting on the higher end, and egg viability seems to be an issue.

you can always google the city's water report.
