Hi! I just got 2 adult longfin bristlenose plecos. 1 is a male and 1 is a female. Both healthy and eating well. I am planning to breed them. Is a 10 gallon big enough for then to breed once? Also what are some tips on breeding them and what foods should I give to condition them? Anything helps! Thank you!

No I am not sure how old they are. They look like adults but thats all I know. I got them from one of my SDTFS meetings.

I get mine to breed when I do a water change with the temp of the water being down about 5 degrees from the aquarium water temp. I also have put ice cubs in the aquarium to drop the water temp down a little. I do this maybe 2 times a day for about 2 to 3 days. Make sure you have a cave or something that the male can fit tight into. The are cave breeders. The male will not eat until the babies are allowed to leave the cave.
Feel free to PM if you need more info or help.
