I have some Corkscrew Val and wondering how tall it will get. I have medium light and run CO2 at 30 ppm. Planted in Eco complete and using Flourish root tabs. Also dose liquid fert ( seachem flourish; Comp, Nitrogen , phosphate, Iron and Excel). Use RO and add Equilibrium and alkaline buffer to dG and dK of 6.
Asking because are at back of 75 gal standard tank. Wondering if should move to side front. And put Rotala Indica and Bacopa in back instead.

I started my 75g tank using Corkscrew Val as a backdrop. It quickly grew to the top of the water and then did a "comb-over" across the water. It also spread invasively by runners. My tank is 20" high with probably 3-4" of aqua soil in the back. I pulled it out and planted some Amazon Swords which were supposed to be 18" but now form a canopy over the back half of the tank. I may move those along also.

Yeah they get tall, but you can trim it. I have it in two tanks and trim every couple of weeks. Both tanks have CO2 and it grows and spreads pretty well.

My corkscrew vals only get about 12 inches tall, max. The Italian Vals, which have the flat leaf, will grow as tall as you let them, but corkscrews have a height limit in my experience. High tech with CO2 and sand, and I've had fluorite in the past.

I was finding contradicting info on height. Mine are about 12 inch now. And I think they have stopped growing up. And have runners. Will move to side and plant some rotala indica
