I just bought a Seiryu Stone from a fish store, and was wondering if washing it in really hot water would be fine, to then add to my tank

I just bought a Seiryu Stone from a fish store, and was wondering if washing it in really hot water would be fine, to then add to my tank

My process of cleaning any stone:

1)wash it with strong garden hose
2)use a toothbrush on the submerged rock in a bucket to brush it real good.
3) rinse it and check water parameters and coloration
4)repeat stages 1 and 2 as much as necessary
