So i bought this liquid fertilizer from Petland with the brand fluval(micro nutrients only, 4 ounces).

My tank is 2.5 gallon aqueon with a betta in it. The lights are LED(very bright in my tank)

I only have bacopa cariolanas at the moment but planning on getting more type of plants like banana plants or something else

I change the water 30-50 percent each week

then you got completely ripped off lol
You need to add more detail of what is in the fertilizers and how much of it. You said micros, but just to make sure, does it have an "ingredients" section? description? anything?
Is Petland anywhere near Disneyland or Never Never Land? Anyway, Fluval = Hagen which is a respected brand. I'm sure your micro nutrients are at least adequate if not superior. I've been searching for the ingredients but haven't found them. But the title of your thread is, "How often should i put liquid ferts?" So, I would say three times a week. The good news is that it will only take a few drops. The instructions say 5 ml per 10 gallons. That's about 1.25 ml a week for your 2.5 gallon tank. You therefore have almost a hundred week supply of micro-nutrients! Not bad for a four ounce bottle. You should put in about 6 or 7 drops three times a week.

[boron (B), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), molybdenum (Mo), and nitrates are the ingredients

i like to put my liquid fertz into those little plastic squirt bottles used for sauce like ketchup. Cut the nozzle tip on the smaller side so you can drop the fertz in, or squeeze the bottle to squirt more.

for your 2.5 gallon, you can do couple of drops or a small squirt. you can get away with a squirt because you're going to change the water out and reset the fertz level anyways. But if you change the water once every two months like me, you can add couple of drops every week or two.

the best way to tell how much fertz to put in is from observation and experience. if you put too little, your plant's color turn pale and have deficiency. If you put too much, algae will grow a lot quicker. find that balance in between after trial and error, trial and error, trial and error.
Ask pharamacy for one of these
