I would go with 2) 6500K. Looks more natural, 5000K is too yellow for my taste. With 2 x 6500K you will still have 6500K as this is color temp.
Kelvin refers to the color spectrum, has nothing to do with power. They dont add up as you suggested.

Both are very good plant spectrums, beyond that is just a matter of which one you like looking at.

Personally I'd do one of each

is it ok to use DIY co2 in this lightning or should i reduce the lightning?
i wanna plant monte carlo. so according to you these lights and DIY co2 and fluorish will work?
Depends on the quality of the reflectors in your fixture, and how high above the tank it's going to be.

You can reduce the amount of light by raising the fixture a few inches, or increase it by lowering it.

To have success with DIY CO2 and any lighting, you'll need to have a good system that runs consistently from one day to the next.

It's good to use multiple bottles with staggered start/change times, for example run two bottles and change out 1 per week, and dont get lazy about changing them out.

Also incorporate a gas separator/ bubble counting bottle so you can keep a close eye on what the system is producing. You'll want to keep the bps (bubbles per second) as close to the same as possible, all the time.

Here's a thread documenting what I used to do. It may give you some ideas how to build the system, etc. http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/2...-others-build-thread-performance-reports.html
