I have a 55 gallon and 75 gallon aquarium. I do one 50% water change a week on each. My water bill is $70 a month. I'm in Michigan and I'm surrounded by the great lakes. I've heard of people with rooms full of tanks in Arizona with half the water bill I have.

How does someone in the middle of the desert have a cheaper water bill than me?

Our former governor struck a deal with Nestle allowing them to pump 500 gallons a minute for bottled water for $200 a year. They are literally draining rivers and marshlands dry no joke.

People in Alaska get paid for their oil $5000 a year every resident. Nevada has no sales tax because of casino's. Why do I have to pay for water?

I'm in California and there's a drought most years. My water bill is a minimum 150 a month whether you use any water or up to 5 units. (Can't remember what a unit is) during summer I rarely go over 5.
I have a 40 gallon and 10 gallon that I use my RO unit to get filter water
When I bought my house 4 years ago my water bill was 60 a month. Been going up every year.

I just keep reminding myself it could be worse there is a couple towns near me where they can only use 3 units a month and there bill is minimum 300 and they get fined for going over.
