What should I be aiming for as fas as bubbles per minute in my 15 High tank. I have a drop checker on order, but I ordered it three weeks ago and it is still not here.

I am switching from diy co2 to pressurized co2 so I will have more control, but I would like some starting point. Right now, I have about 1 bubble every 4 seconds, but it is not enough I do not think as I see no PH drop at all.

I read this somewhere:

Slowly increase your bubble rate daily.
Observe your fish and plants.
When the plants start pearling, you can stop.
If your fish show signs of distress or are at the top
Of the water gasping for air, back off on the bubble count.

I’ve read this several times on different forums.
Personally, I use a pH controller/solenoid on a timer.
The CO2 is on only when the lights are on.

I learned the hard way to always start with a low bubble count
and slowly increase the CO2 rate.
