I have a 210 gal tank (base 72" x 24"). I have played with planted tanks before, so know a little, but redoing whole tank due to neglect, and all of life's other challenges. I used aquariumplants.com substrate before, in black, and it was fine. I was thinking of doing it again, perhaps mixing both the black and red together, just for a different look. I have noticed that their price went up, and I truely do not even remember how much I purchased before. So now, just looking at all options, and trying to stay on the cheap side. Big tank equals big $, and I know I will be dabbling in other lights possibly, and restocking the tank.

Dirt with a safe t sorb/ black diamond/ pool sand or play sand cap? Cheap and awesome for growing plants. Esp root feeders like swords.
