1/2" white clouds are probably around 2 months of age. They grow to roughly 1.5". There's not much to them, keep them in unheated tanks ideally, and they will eat flake, frozen, almost anything you put in the tank. If just keeping white clouds and otos, I'd say a dozen to 20 fish. They're pretty active and will likely spawn in your tank. In my experience, the adults don't seem to eat the fry. Which makes no sense considering how tiny the fry start out. Perhaps they do and I've just never noticed it but they certainly seem to prefer flake food and will eat it alongside the tiny babies. And the fry are beautiful! They develop a neon green stripe at just a couple of days of age that fades to gold with maturity.
